Hello Everyone!
I am so excited to show off my clean and organized craft room/ art studio. I went through a major purge with the help of a professional organizer- Morgan. (not a sponsored video)
I love how this turned into a functional space that works for me and my needs.

I have to say, I am a little embarrassed at how bad my room actually was. I had over 20 years of craft and art supplies that I needed to organize and purge! I my opinion I needed some help to keep me focused and on task. I am sure I could have done this one my own, but sometimes it is better to get outside help.
Once I buckled down, with Morgan’s help, I got it all under control. And now that it is done, I feel so good and much more creative.
I am also doing a low buy this year. What that means to me is that I am not planning on purchasing anything new that I don’t need. This does not include staples like gel mediums and glues and things of that nature. Once a quarter I will head to the store with my list and see if there is anything I need, lol. I am trying to use up what I have and be creative with my own supplies.
I anyone interested in joining me in my low buy challenge?

I too need some organizational help in the hobby room…..and the other rooms in my house. I hope it is a great crafty year.

I need a purger! I can handle the organizing, but the purging is so overwhelming! Happy creating in your improved space!

I have been weeding out for about a year now, myself. I have a lot of quality materials I don’t use, so I am trying to give them to artists just getting started or to people I know will get joy out of them rather than just purging.
I am definitely going to buckle down on my purchasing this year and start saving for larger goals. Maybe we can hold one another accountable 😉

Great job on weeding out your art supplies, keep up the good work! I love that you are giving your unused items to other artist, that is great to hear! I love the accountability, I will be reporting on my progress throughout the year.

Your room looks great. I am looking forward to seeing your work this year. I am trying to low buy also. I have bins of fabric that need to be used before I buy any more fabric. I do need to refresh my paints and paper supply.

Thanks! Good luck on your low buy! I completely understand about having too much fabric, there are just too many pretty patterns that I just need to have, lol.

I love your studio, I too like to dig but see what I have. For me I get more creative when I dig through similar items, I find something that I didn’t know I was looking for. Most studio/craft room tour are so white and perfect, its nice to see one that I can relate to.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! I am glad I there is someone else who can’t work in a an all white “perfect” room as well, lol.

So far I’ve been pretty good at using up my yarn stash and not buying more, but I know my card-making supplies need an overhaul. Maybe I should get some help in too

That is awesome that you are doing well using up your yarn stash, I am not so great at that, lol. Getting help is a great way to stay focused. Good luck in your organization and happy crafting!
